Lindemann – Featuring Rammstein's Till Lindemann – Are Releasing A New Single This Week

Industrial metal super-duo Lindemann are unleashing new single Steh Auf this week.

Following last month's exciting news that the new Lindemann album is "done", the band have revealed that a new single is arriving this week.

The industrial superduo – completed by Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and Hypocrisy/Pain founder Peter Tägtgren – are set to unveil new song Steh Auf this Friday (September 13), and have unveiled a super-short teaser video to whet fans' appetite until then.

While it's not yet known when the record will arrive, Till has had a colossal year with Rammstein, and the German titans are now having a pretty big break from playing shows until their huge European run in 2020. The tour will include some of their biggest headline shows ever – from the Cardiff date at the Principality Stadium on June 14, to Belfast’s Boucher Road Playing Field in Northern Ireland on June 17, and the Ricoh Arena in Coventry three days later. These UK shows are sandwiched in between a whole load of huge arena and stadium dates throughout Europe, running from May 25 in Austria, to August 4 in Denmark.

Kerrang! recently spoke to Rammstein’s lighting designer Roland Griel to talk about what goes into such an epic live show. He told us that around 400 people work on the setting up, taking down, transporting, operation, maintenance, feeding, management, and blowing up of each and every gig.

There’s even a second team on hand to start work at the following venue, getting ready to set up and build the stage. Bonkers.

“Going into stadiums, you can only bring in about 10 trucks at a time, so you have to make sure you bring in the right one at the right time for what it’s got in it, that there are enough people around,” says Roland. “I think they’ve got the load out down to four and a half hours now. Then they get in the trucks and drive 500km to the next show. Then they load all the pyro and lights, which takes about eight hours. Repeat that until the tour is over!”
