Listen To Taylor Hawkins' New Single, Middle Child, Featuring Dave Grohl

Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders have unveiled another track ahead of the release of their new album Get The Money.

Ahead of the release of their new album Get The Money, Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders have unveiled a brand-new single, Middle Child.

The new tune features Taylor's Foo Fighters bandmate Dave Grohl, who also appears on three other tracks on the record – Crossed The Line, You're No Good At Life No More, and I Really Blew It.

As well as Mr. Grohl, Taylor is joined by an all-star cast on Get The Money (due out on November 8 via Shanabelle/Columbia Records), including Duff McKagan, Perry Farrell, Roger Taylor, Pat Smear, Chrissie Hynde, LeAnn Rimes and more. Phew.

Discussing his new Coattail Riders LP and how he found the time to write and record it between Foos tours, Taylor explains to Kerrang!: “I came up with a lot of my ideas for my songs while I was on my bike, and the album was just pieced together. I’m always in my studio recording. I would do demos every time I came home from tour. We’d have two weeks off and I’d spend a couple of days kissing my wife’s ass, doing everything she’d asked me to, then I’d go into the studio for a couple of days and record.”

We recently caught up with Taylor for a life-and-career-spanning K! Interview, in which the legendary sticksman told us about his plans for 2020 – potentially including some 25th anniversary celebrations for Foo Fighters' self-titled debut, as well as maybe finding the time to work on a brand-new album.

“Well, it’s very possible,” Taylor says. “There’s a lot of talk, and I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe. I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away. But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop."
