Listen To This Awesome Mash-Up Of Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls And Kanye West's Black Skinheads

Someone has made a mash-up of Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls and Kanye West's Black Skinheads!

Who doesn’t love a good mash-up? Especially when they’re actually good. Which this unlikely pairing between Metallica and Kanye West – yes, really – actually is.

Somehow, expert mixmaster William Maranci - who has previously spliced together Tool and Taylor Swift, and Deftones and Britney Spears – realised that ’tallica’s For Whom The Bell Tolls and Kanye’s Black Skinhead would go together incredibly well when combined.

Just listen to the way the hip-hop superstar’s words glide over those classic riffs – it’s almost as if it was meant to sound like this originally. (Only joking – we would never denigrate such a classic Metallica song!)

Yesterday (October 10), Metallica announced they were playing 10 headline sets at five festivals in the U.S. in 2020 – which makes the prospect of New Year’s Eve all the more enticing.

The announcement follows the news that James Hetfield has entered rehab for addiction, prompting Metallica to postpone their forthcoming dates with Slipknot in Australia and New Zealand.

Metallica made the following statement: “We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must postpone our upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand.

“As most of you probably know, our brother James has been struggling with addiction on and off for many years. He has now, unfortunately, had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery again.

“We fully intend to make our way to your part of the world as soon as health and schedule permit. We’ll let you know as soon as we can. Once again, we are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows. We appreciate your understanding and support for James and, as always, thank you for being a part of our Metallica family.”

Here’s to both James’s recovery and next year’s gigs!
