MGK teases snippet from Mainstream Sellout, unveils new guitar for this era

Machine Gun Kelly says goodbye to his Tickets To My Downfall pink guitar, while teasing a new song from upcoming sixth album Mainstream Sellout.

Following the release of WILLOW collab emo girl last week (and an official video due out later today), Machine Gun Kelly has teased another snippet of new material – and said goodbye to his pink Tickets To My Downfall guitar.

Taking to social media to share a video of him strumming along to TTMD track drunk face, the clip then zooms in and out on a brand-new silver mirrored guitar, along with audio of an as-yet-unreleased track. As well as sounding slightly darker as MGK has previously alluded, there's another voice that can be heard in the song – with some fans thinking it's alt.pop artist phem, who commented underneath the video on Twitter: "I’m excited ok?"

"new album, new snippet, new guitar," reads MGK's caption. Check it out below:

In October, Machine Gun Kelly said of his new album (which was then titled Born With Horns): "It feels more guitar-heavy for sure, lyrically it definitely goes deeper – but I never like to do anything the same. Every album is a juxtaposition of the last album. So I went and studied Tickets…, and I heard the bright sound that I had, and for this album I just turned the lights off.

"I'm not scared anymore, there's nothing holding me back from being my true self – and my true self can't be silenced, can't be restrained. It's a force, it's like a hurricane. Can't stop that, it just goes until it feels like stopping, and I don't feel like stopping anytime soon."

Mainstream Sellout is due out on March 25
