Ozzy Thanks Fans For Their Support Following Parkinson's Diagnosis

Ozzy Osbourne has thanked fans for their "well wishes" in the days since he revealed his Parkinson's diagnosis

Ozzy Osbourne has taken to social media to thank his legions of fans for their messages of support following his recent Parkinson's diagnosis.

"Thank you all so much for your well wishes. It means the absolute world to me. All my love, Ozzy," reads the message posted on Ozzy's Facebook and Twitter.

Since the news was announced that The Prince Of Darkness was suffering with Parkinson's disease, there have been countless messages of adoration and love for Ozzy.

“Just to have all this outpouring of positive reaction from everyone that watches the show, and our friends, it's heartwarming," said Ozzy's wife Sharon on her CBS show The Talk. "And I know that Ozzy will be just over the moon. He will be taken aback.

"People have been amazing with their outpouring of love for my husband, and I thank you. Friends that we haven't spoken to in years have come out and supported Ozzy, and it makes me feel good. And to everyone, thank you."

Ozzy first discussed his Parkinson's in an interview with Good Morning America earlier this week.

"I've got numbness down this arm from the surgery," said Ozzy. "My legs keep going cold, I don't know if that's Parkinson's or what... It's a weird feeling."

Sharon explained it's Stage 2 Parkinson's, which can cause stiffness, tremors and changes in facial expressions.

Stiffness, tremors, and trembling may be more noticeable, and changes in facial expressions can occur.

"There's so many different types of Parkinson's," said Sharon on GMA. "It's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it's like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day."

Sharon added that they would be travelling to Switzerland to seek further treatment.

Ozzy will release his twelfth solo album Ordinary Man on February 21.

His previously postponed No More Tours II world tour is scheduled to start in May. Get your UK tickets here.
