Parkway Drive return with nu-metal single Glitch

After teasing their return last week, Parkway Drive are back with their first new music since 2018 album Reverence.

The Aussie titans have gone nu-metal for their new single, Glitch, with the band sharing in a collective statement that they have "always walked the line of balancing the light and the dark".

They continue: "Sonically, we aimed to create a dark, heavy, and unnerving journey while still crafting a melody that burrows its way into your mind. Lyrically, the song deals with the phenomenon of night terrors and sleep paralysis. We all know the power our minds possess, but true terror manifests when your mind and all its fears takes physical control of your body. The glitch in your brain, where nightmares and reality cross."

In an interview with Kerrang! in November last year when asked about how their new material was sounding, vocalist Winston McCall teased that, “It’s the most expansive thing we’ve ever done. It’s heavy as hell. It’s basically everything you could wish and hope for from Parkway, and a whole bunch of stuff that you never thought would be possible. The reaction we want is for people to say, ‘This is the Parkway that I love, but I never thought they could go this far!’”
