See Jared Leto complete the first-ever climb of the iconic Empire State Building

Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto just became the first person ever to legally climb up the Empire State Building – check out photos and video footage now.

To celebrate the launch of Thirty Seconds To Mars’ 2024 tour, Jared Leto just casually decided to make history and climb the Empire State Building.

The 30STM frontman completed the first-ever climb of the iconic New York landmark, having been “fascinated” by it since he was a kid. “The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it,” Jared explains, “which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.”

Check out footage of the epic achievement below.

Clearly a big fan of scrambling up stuff, earlier this year Jared climbed the outside of a five-star Berlin hotel (for no apparent reason), while back in 2020 he was hanging out with fellow climbing dude Alex Honnold at Red Rock and “nearly died” after taking a fall.
