Skrillex drops surprise second album during Madison Square Garden show

Fresh from Friday’s first new album of the year (Quest For Fire), Skrillex dropped a second full-length, Don’t Get Too Close, while headlining New York’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

Just like buses, you wait nine years for a new Skrillex record and then two come at once.

Following Friday’s planned Quest For Fire record, Sonny then hit New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden the following night where he surprised fans with his second new album of 2023: Don’t Get Too Close.

Album number two features guest appearances from Bibi Bourelly, Justin Bieber, Kid Cudi, Chief Keef, Swae Lee, Yung Lean, Bladee and PinkPantheress, and as Skrillex himself tweeted after the release, it’s “much different than Quest For Fire”.
