Tenacious D Cover Time Warp While Encouraging Listeners To Vote Left

Jack Black recruits Susan Sarandon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Phoebe Bridgers and many more for a politically-charged Rocky Horror Picture Show cover.

With the U.S. election looming, more and more acts are making their political stances clear and doing their part to encourage voters – from Run The Jewels' brilliant Holy Calamavote stream, to Foo Fighters backing Joe Biden during the virtual I Will Vote benefit concert this weekend. Now, Tenacious D are the latest band to have their say with a twist on the Rocky Horror Picture Show classic Time Warp.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass have shared their new 'Rock-y The Vote' cover of Time Warp featuring some very impressive guest appearances: Senator Elizabeth Warren, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Susan Sarandon, Sarah Silverman, John Waters, Jamie Lee Curtis, Karen O, Reggie Watts, Ezra Miller, Ilana Glazer, Phoebe Bridgers, John Heilemann, George Takei, Eric Andre, King Princess and Michael Peña.

But it's not just the huge array of cameos that make this rendition different: the song's message highlights the importance of jumping to the left and not stepping to the right this November 3.
