Watch Queen + Adam Lambert Perform We Are The Champions In Lockdown

Queen's Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert join forces for the perfect quarantine motivator.

If ever you were in need of a lockdown pick-me-up, Queen + Adam Lambert have delivered just that: a quarantined rendition of their classic We Are The Champions – but with the lyrics appropriately changed to 'you are the champions' later on in the song.

The new COVID-19-specific version was uploaded to Brian May's Instagram, with the legendary guitarist joined by vocalist Adam Lambert and drummer Roger Taylor at their respective homes while all practicing self-isolation.

Not only is Brian keeping fans entertained via social media while adhering to coronavirus guidelines, he also called on fans to make sure they were doing the same.

"Our own government has failed to act promptly, acting on catastrophically bad advice, which will eventually be the cause of thousands of deaths," he wrote on March 17. "It’s too late to contain the coronavirus in Britain – but we can still save some of the lives of our dear ones by doing now what we should have done three weeks ago. Isolate – minimise our social contacts. Minimise them, if possible, to almost zero. The more interactions you have, the more chance you have of bringing the virus in to threaten your family.

"Extreme action is needed – delaying is shite," he added. "And please, politicians, stop talking about the economy, just for a moment. A million lives are at stake."

Wise words. Pay attention to them, and now watch Brian, Adam and Roger perform We Are The Champions below:
