Watch YUNGBLUD's New Lockdown Music Video – Which Cost Just $100 To Make

YUNGBLUD has released a new video for his latest single, Weird!.

Following the release of his latest single Weird!, YUNGBLUD has released a lockdown music video for the track.

The clip – which was shot with a three-person crew of YUNGBLUD's friends, and was made for just $100 – sees the musician dancing and singing in Los Angeles while adhering to social distancing measures, and answering the question, "If the world was going to end tomorrow, what would be the last story I told?"

“Right now, everybody is trapped within four walls trying to figure out what the fuck is going on,” YUNGBLUD explains. “Currently, I’m trapped in LA with my best friends. We made this for $100 and this might be my favourite video we’ve ever made. I think you can see the happiness from it coming out of the screen.”

Of the single itself, he said, “I wrote the song about the weirdest time in my life ever imagined. I felt like the ground beneath me was a maze that was shape shifting and I felt like I was going to fall down the cracks and, in my opinion, the world feels exactly like that right now.

“I wanted this song to make everyone feel that everything was going to be alright no matter how weird things get.”

Last month, YUNGBLUD launched the first episode of his new YouTube series with the Shit’s Weird – Keep Calm And Carry On livestream concert.

“The world is in a very weird time at the moment,” he said. “Everyone doesn’t know what to do or where to turn. it’s like we are all trapped in a glass or perspex box whilst someone is playing a trick on us. My shows were getting cancelled left right and centre.

“I miss the energy, I miss the connection, I miss my fans and family,” he continued. “We need each other more than ever right now and having the opportunity to interact with them taken away from me fully wasn’t even an option for me!”

YUNGBLUD also recently made his headline gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton available to watch in full – check that out now:
