Waterparks officially change song title to match fan's tattoo typo

Waterparks have renamed their Greatest Hits album closer See You In The Future after a fan's tattooist inked the incorrect name. Incredible!

In brilliantly funny but also incredibly sweet news, Waterparks have officially renamed one of their songs to match a fan's incorrect tattoo.

Twitter user @clancybitch took to social media last month to post a Greatest Hits tattoo inspired by album closer See You In The Future – only their artist had accidentally written See You In In The Future instead.

Read this: Waterparks’ Awsten Knight: “If your art’s not getting a reaction, then what are you doing?”

At the time, Waterparks' Twitter account quote-tweeted a photo of the ink with the caption, "my mouth is stuck open," with frontman Awsten Knight replying to his band (in his normal caps lock style): "WATERPARKS PLEASE ITS NOT TOO LATE TO CHANGE THE SONG TITLE."

Lo and behold, that's actually what happened. Today (November 3), the trio have officially renamed the song to See You In In The Future on all streaming platforms, with Awsten writing: "HEY I SAW YOUR TATTOO AND FIGURED THE LEAST WE CAN DO IS CHANGE THE SONG TITLE FOR U."

Check it out:

"I AM LITERALLY CRYING! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS OVER MY MESSED UP TATTOO!" replied @clancybitch to the name change. "God’s Favorite Boy Band."

The lucky Parx fan also responded to another Twitter user that they will be keeping their typo: "I was literally having a hard time deciding weather I wanted it fixed or not and now I have my answer. I’M DEFINITELY KEEPING IT!"

How brilliant is that?!
