Green Day’s Dookie has been inducted into the National Recording Registry

THEY PLAYED GREEN DAY SONGS!!!!!
Saturday night (April 24) saw the premiere of Billie Joe Armstrong’s new movie Geezer at the Tribeca Film Festival. And he celebrated by playing some songs with Joan Jett, who cameos in the film!
The pair played a brief set, which featured songs from the film and also two Green Day tracks (Scattered and American Idiot)! Tré Cool was on drums, while solo artist Jesse Malin took up guitar duty in the absence of Mike Dirnt, who couldn’t make the show.
