blink-182 Just Played Enema Of The State In Full

Just as we'd been lead to believe from bassist Mark Hoppus last month, pop-punk heroes blink-182 performed their 1999 record, Enema Of The State, in its entirety at this past weekend's Back To The Beach to celebrate the LP's 20th anniversary.

The trio have played many of the legendary album's tracks over the past few years, but both Aliens Exist and Anthem got their first live airings in some two decades (the former being played for the first time since 2001; the latter for the first time since 1999).

On top of that, Back To The Beach also marked frontman Matt Skiba's first performances of those two tracks in particular, having replaced Tom DeLonge in 2015.

blink-182 are set to release a brand-new album before their Warped Tour 25th anniversary performance in June.

"We have over 40 songs recorded," drummer Travis Barker recently revealed. "And we’ve never actually recorded that many songs for an album before. But it’s a matter of… I don’t know, our expectations are crazy. And you know, only 10-12 will be on the album. But we’ve got to have those 10-12 that are bangers."

Bassist Mark, meanwhile, will return to the UK this June with his other band, Simple Creatures, to headline the Avalanche Stage at Download Festival.
