Can't Swim Release Surprise New EP, When The Dust Settles

New Jersey punks Can't Swim have unveiled a surprise new four-track EP, When The Dust Settles.

The release consists of stripped-down and reworked versions of some of the band's most popular songs – “sometimes you meet the right people at the wrong times”, Death Deserves A Name, Stranger and My Queen – and is out via Pure Noise Records.

“The idea of revisiting some of our previously released songs is something we always wanted to do,” explains vocalist Chris LoPorto. “When you play songs night after night you start to imagine them in different ways, and over the years of touring we have pictured them with many different arrangements. Even when creating the songs, we constantly go back and forth about how to present the idea best.

“In this time of isolation, we thought it would be very fitting to put out a stripped-down version of some of our favourite songs. Excited to share these familiar tunes with everyone but in a very new way.”

When The Dust Settles follows Can't Swim's 4K-rated 2019 EP Foreign Language, which saw the band take a heavier direction and collaborate with the likes of Frank Carter to Taking Back Sunday frontman Adam Lazzara.
