Many members of the rock and metal community have reacted to yesterday's (January 6) shocking scenes of Donald Trump supporters storming the Capitol building in Washington.

"Fuck these traitors!!" wrote Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn, before making the connection – like so many others – to how different the response was to the Black Lives Matter protests last summer. "Imagine if these people were black and doing this? Mike Pence had to be evacuated. Domestic terrorist just stormed the capital. Where is the teargas? Where the rubber bullets?"

"Here’s a looter stealing a podium from inside the U.S. Capitol and not getting shot, tear gassed, or thrown in an unmarked police van," shared Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello. "#MakesYaThink"

"These are terrorists," said Paul Stanley of KISS. "This is armed insurrection. The flames were fanned today & over time by the president & specific senators who cannot be allowed now to distance from or denounce what they have directly caused. Know their names. This is the result of their deception. Shame."

While Body Count's Ice-T simply wrote: "Just imagine for a second if BLM tried this BS… Just sayin," Palaye Royale's Sebastian Danzig also pointed out, "The cops treating the Capitol riots a lot differently from the peaceful Black Lives Matter protest from this past summer. It is all backwards."

"When fear & hate are encouraged to assimilate steadily into the cultural zeitgeist the is ultimate result," said Black Veil Brides' Andy Biersack. "Absolutely heart breaking & embarrassing. I see nothing patriotic or decent in the support of this idiotic, dangerous & asinine behavior. We must find a way to unite & heal."
