Astroid Boys Curated A Playlist Ahead Of Their Kamio Show Tonight

To celebrate the release of their debut album Broke today, Astroid Boys are bringing everything to a nice big sexy climax with a show at London's Kamio tonight that is bound to POP. OFF.

Ahead of the show, we got co-frontman Traxx to tell us his favourite songs right now, because we've always wanted to know where a band with such a unique sound gets their inspiration from - simple as that. Without further ado:

"He disappeared for a year and came out with a full body of work. He says a lot of profound things without sounding like a total hipster."

"They seem careless and thoughtful at the same time..."

"The coolest person in the world and her rap abilities are beyond on this track."

"One of my favourite pink songs of all time because it feels like he can't get his words out fast enough. So much energy and anger."

"Probably my favourite London rapper. It's one of those things where you don't have words to describe why....he just IS."

"This is an afrobeat track but it's effectively the same structure of a punk song. Pushing political boundaries hard with an unbelievable passion and rawness unlike anything else!"

"First time I heard it I listened to it more than 30 times back to back. The way they bounce off each other spitting bars is amazing."

"My favourite style of hardcore - an unrelenting punch in the face. Loud, harsh and abrasive."

"Everything he is saying is true to me and relatable...and the tone of his voice on the track is amazing. Plus it's self produced and self released."

Thanks Traxx! Below is the playlist in full, give it a save, give it a listen in full.
