A Night Of Metal And Punk In NYC Featuring Power Trip, Sheer Mag, And More

Photographer Angela Owens documents one heavy evening in Brooklyn, New York.

You know you’ve entered a new musical era when:

a) an Austin thrash metal band
b) a Philadelphia garage rock band
c) a New York hardcore band that formed over 30 years ago, and
d) a New York hardcore band that sings half in Japanese 

…all fit onto one bill. 

And you know you’re in a city like New York when that line-up comes together on a Wednesday night.

Thankfully, photographer Angela Owens was there to capture the insanity of Power Trip, Sheer Mag, Outburst, and Krimewatch storming the stage in succession at Elsewhere, in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick. The May 9 show was the first of two (two!) sold out evenings at the relatively new venue founded by former Glasslands owners, PopGun, and proved to be – well, maybe you should just check out the photos.
