What Happened When Def Leppard Headlined Download 2019

Def Leppard brought the first night of Download Festival to a close

And so, the first night of Download Festival 2019 has drawn to a close. Sure, it was a bit muddy here and there, but nothing a healthy dose of rock’n’roll can’t fix!

Following Whitesnake and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators, British hard rock heroes Def Leppard brought their Hysteria tour to the hallowed ground of Castle Donington. Having toured it all over the globe last year, climaxing at London’s Wembley Arena, Joe Elliot and co. brought the ultimate ’80s party vibes with a slick, polished show, flanked by giant screens as they belted out Animal, Let’s Get It Rocked and (of course) Pour Some Sugar On Me.
