Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has already promised that some "seriously crazy shit" will be happening this year, and the rock titans are keeping that promise by announcing several huge shows in Europe this summer.

The band will be joined by some very special select guests at the newly-announced dates, having confirmed that The Pretty Reckless will be supporting them in Germany, L7 will be joining them in France, and Yungblud will be performing before they hit the stage in Spain.

Catch Foo Fighters in Europe at the following this summer:

June

10 Berlin, DE – Waldbühne (with The Pretty Reckless)
12 Nickelsdorf, AT – Nova Rock Festival
14 Milan, IT – I-Day
16 Nimes, FR – Arena de Nimes (with L7)
19 Valencia, ES – Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (with Yungblud, Honeyblood)
21 Lisbon, PT – Rock In Rio Lisboa

It's very possible that the band will have new music out in time for their European return, having started teasing a follow-up to 2017's Concrete And Gold last month.

“Come on in, the water’s fine…” they posted on social media, alongside a photo showing a microphone set up in a bathtub. Looks like album number 10 is gonna get pretty weird, then…

The post came after comments from Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins, who told Kerrang! last year that Dave was plotting a big 2020 – with potential plans to mark the 25th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut, too.

“There’s a lot of talk, and I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe,” he said. “I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away. But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop.”
