It's hard to comprehend the fact that Billie Joe Armstrong launched his No Fun Mondays all the way back in March this year, unveiling new covers most weeks "until we're let back out into the world". And while things sadly haven't gone back to 'normal' just yet, the Green Day frontman is nevertheless honouring his awesome cover series by giving it a proper album release.

Billie's No Fun Mondays record will arrive on November 27 (with the option to purchase a stunning baby blue vinyl with a glow in the dark cover), and is set to include his renditions of the likes of I Think We're Alone Now, Manic Monday, That Thing You Do!, Kids In America and more.

Of course, as well as covers, Billie Joe told Kerrang! back in March that he was working on fresh Green Day material in lockdown, too.

"I’ve been writing a lot of music, and I had all these melodies in my head, so I wrote, like, six songs since all of this has been going on," he said. "I don’t know when I can get together with Mike [Dirnt, bass] and Tré [Cool, drums], but I told them to make sure that they’re quarantined for now, and then I hope down the road we can get back in the studio with [Father Of All… producer] Butch Walker."
