What happens when High On Fire headlines perhaps the sickest metal tour of the year? Find out this fall!

High On Fire Announce North American Tour With Power Trip, Devil Master, Creeping Death

You have to give it to High On Fire: they're really kicking ass in 2019. First, the Oakland stoner legends won the Best Metal Performance Grammy, and then they played 3 Floyds' Dark Lord Day. Now, they've announced a North American tour with three of the hottest bands in metal -- Power Trip, Devil Master, and Creeping Death, two of whom are featured prominently on our list of the 50 best American metal bands from the past ten years.

The tour starts in Austin, heads up the east coast, and then cuts through Canada and down into the country. This comes right after Devil Master's insane jaunt with Obituary, so if you were hoping to take a break from metal after Halloween, think twice.

Discussing his relationship with both live performances and smoking weed, High On Fire frontman Matt Pike told us, "I have made the mistake of taking this super, super fucking strong tincture I had, and going onstage and having it hit me all at once, and thinking, ‘Aw, FUCK…’ Not knowing where the fuck I am in the song, dropping the ball left and right."
