Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker continue to be two of the busiest men in music, with MGK recently sharing that new material is arriving in August.

Taking to his Instagram Live on July 5 for a 30-minute chat with fans (mostly to talk about buying a giant bunny rabbit with girlfriend Megan Fox and asking for name ideas), the rapper/pop-punker says of what he's been up to lately (transcribed by Kerrang!): “I’ve been filming a movie this month and getting ready for the next album rollout and this tour. I’m excited for the album; you know, me and Travis, we got back in [to the studio] and everything’s just falling into place and I feel really happy with everything.”

After discussing rabbit name options and potentially settling on 'Toast', Machine Gun Kelly later adds before he leaves, “New music, August. I’ll let you guys know about the bunny.”

Of course, this music will follow his many collaborations of 2021: MGK teamed up with CORPSE – aka YouTuber Corpse Husband – for DAYWALKER! in March; Sleeping With Sirens' Kellin Quinn on love race in April; and pop-punk TikToker jxdn on Wanna Be just last week.

In the same conversation, Machine Gun Kelly celebrated the two-year anniversary of his latest rap album, Hotel Diablo, which was released on July 5, 2019. To mark the occasion, he played a snippet of previously unreleased material, telling fans: "You know what? I wanna do this. I wanna play something real quick. This doesn't have to do with anything that's coming out – this is just some shit. It's kinda hard. For some celebration of the two-year anniversary of Hotel Diablo."
