Play That Funky Music Rammstein Is The Mash-Up You've Always Dreamed Of

Enjoy the ultimate mash-up: Rammstein's Du Hast and Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music White Boy.

Play That Funky Music Rammstein Is The Mash-Up You've Always Dreamed Of

Did you see Rammstein's huge, cinematic videos for their new singles Deutschland and Radio, and think, 'Eh, they're good, but just not...funky enough?' Well, mash-up artist DJ Cummerbund obviously knows how you feel, as he's woven Rammstein's Du Hast and Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music White Boy together into a track that's, unsurprisingly, the best thing you've ever heard.

This bastard child is called Play That Funky Music Rammstein, and features the thick, tasty groove of Wild Cherry behind the cold, merciless vocals of Rammstein monolith Till Lindemann. Then, Metallica's Blackened gets added to the mix. Then Megadeth joins in. Suddenly, the whole thing goes entirely off the rails, and you're questioning your lifelong religious convictions. It's great.

Dance confusingly to the track below:

Total madness. Thanks to our friends in Metal Injection for showing us this.

Rammstein are of course gearing up for the release of their long-awaited new studio album, simply titled 'Rammstein.' The tracklisting for the album is as follows:

  1. Deutschland
  2. Radio
  3. Zeig Dich
  4. Ausländer
  5. Sex
  6. Puppe
  7. Was Ich Liebe
  8. Diamant
  9. Weit Weg
  10. Tattoo
  11. Hallomann

And here's the cover art.

Guitarist Richard Kruspe describes the album as possibly even "fun to listen to", saying in a recent interview, “I was sitting with Till [Lindemann], our singer, and to my great surprise he loved the stuff I was playing. We experimented a lot with certain kinds of harmony through the verses and a lot of melodic structures in the songs. I feel like we came up with great stuff that I wouldn’t have dreamed before could be Rammstein.”

The band head out on a huge tour of Europe shortly after the release of the album, so make sure you demand this mash-up at one of the dates below:
