Adam Jones Teases New Tool Riff, Hints At Song Debut This Sunday

Tool guitarist Adam Jones teased a new riff on his Instagram, suggesting the band might debut the song live on Sunday.

Progressive metal legends Tool are really driving fans into a frenzy with all the teasing and hints at the release of their new album this year. The band has added 2019 in roman numerals to their logo online, and according to Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, they should be wrapping up the artwork any day now. Now, guitarist Adam Jones has posted a teaser of a new riff on his Facebook, with hashtags suggesting that the band will debut the song it’s from on Monday.

On his Instagram, Adam posted the below image, with the caption, “~*Getting ready for Sunday 🤘🏽🔥💣#TOOL #TOOLlive #Nomad #Bitesize #lovethenonhaters #WelcomeToRockvilleFestival #Rockville #RockvilleFestival2019 #RockvilleFestival #Jacksonville #Florida #America #MakingDreamsComeTrue #TheFastingIsOver #BG

As Adam’s Instagram indicates, Tool will play this year’s Welcome To Rockville festival on Sunday. Given that he’s teasing a new riff, and he included the hashtags #MakingDreamsComeTrue and #TheFastingIsOver, the post seems to suggest that the band will debut a new track live this Sunday.

Meanwhile, if Adam’s post wasn’t enough, frontman Maynard James Keenan tweeted the following:
