Does musical theatre titan Andrew Lloyd Webber fancy making a My Chemical Romance adaptation? Well, perhaps not, but the legendary Cats, Phantom Of The Opera and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat composer nevertheless seems to appreciate the beautiful simplicity of the opening to Welcome To The Black Parade. It's a start, right?

Taking to the internet in response to a tweet from 2017 that reads, "Still fuming that The Black Parade hasn’t been made into some incredible goth musical," Andrew shared a TikTok of himself performing the intro to Phantom Of The Opera. "Musical theatre fans everywhere – what do you think of when you hear this?"

Then, he asked another more rock-based question – "And for everybody else – what do you think of when you hear this?" – as he held down the goosebump-inducing G note on the piano that famously signals the start of My Chem's Welcome To The Black Parade.

"It's one thing to create an iconic set of chords," reads his caption to the video. "It's another to make one note iconic."

Couldn't agree more. Now c'mon, Andrew, let's get that My Chemical Romance musical going…
