Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows Went Head-To-Head With A Professional Golfer

"I get just as excited about a show that night or the golf course I'm gonna play that morning."

Not the words we were expecting to hear from Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows, we must admit. But everyone needs a break from being in one of the biggest metal bands in the world, right?

Shadows recently joined forces with PGA Tour Player Brendan Steele for a segment on the Golf Channel’s Morning Drive – and it's a pretty fascinating insight into the frontman's hobbies outside of music, and how he went from thinking golf was "lame" in high school to being a huge advocate of the sport now. 

Lovely stuff – and not just because it allowed us to come up with that 'hail to the swing' pun.
