Avril Lavigne Announces Rescheduled UK And European Tour

Following the postponement of her UK and European tour due to coronavirus, Avril Lavigne has announced her rescheduled dates for 2021.

The Canadian pop-rock star will be bringing her Head Above Water World Tour across the pond in February and March, kicking off in Zurich and finishing up in Paris – with four UK shows along the way.

At the time of the postponement, Avril said: “I have been looking forward to this tour for so long. For the opportunity to reconnect with my amazing, supportive fans. My main concern continues to be your health and safety and I want to come back and rock out with you at another time when everyone can enjoy the shows without worry. Sending you all so much love.”

This UK and European run will follow the U.S. Head Above Water Tour, of which Avril enthused, “I can’t believe how quickly it went by. Seeing all your faces each night and feeling your energy was exactly what I needed. I truly missed being up onstage, singing with you and this has brought me so much happiness…”

The new tour dates follow the release of We Are Warriors, a re-recorded and renamed version of Avril's 2019 song Warriors.

“I felt the need to do something to honour all of the frontline workers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe,” said the vocalist. “From the doctors, nurses, police, fire fighters, grocery workers, delivery services, all essential workers and the brave volunteers.

“I am humbled with gratitude and want to dedicate my new song We Are Warriors to everyone putting their lives at risk to keep us safe,” Avril continued. “You guys are the ones that are holding the world up right now and we’re all counting on you and relying on you. You are Warriors! We all need each other more than ever right now. Now is the time to fight and to stick together. Be kind, be safe, be a Warrior and support our mission at CharityStars.com/Warrior.”
