Baroness Release New Video, Announce U.S. Tour Dates

Experimental metallers Baroness have released a trippy new video, and have announced their U.S. Gold & Grey tour.

Last month, experimental metal crew Baroness revealed the cover art of their long-awaited new album, Gold & Grey, along with a slew of North American tour dates. Now, the band has revealed the video for a new track, Seasons, and announced the dates of their official Gold & Grey U.S. tour.

Seasons is pure Baroness, full of both echoing beauty and pure metal urgency. The video, meanwhile, is a mixture of trippy imagery and recording footage that showcases the two sides of the band — artistic savants and hard-working musicians.

Check out Seasons below:

Describing the band’s approach on the new album, guitarist/vocalist/artist John Baizley said, The term I kept using was that I wanted to create something that was more kaleidoscopic than our former records. We were trying to say something new with our instruments, with our sound intact, with the spirit of the band intact, but not applying the typical conventions when possible.”

The band has also announced a whole bunch of U.S. tour dates as part of the official Gold & Grey tour, so fans now have a chance at seeing Seasons live.
