Betraying The Martyrs Announce New Album, Release Music Video

French deathcore act Betraying The Martyrs have a new track, and their tour starts tomorrow.

French deathcore act Betraying The Martyrs have just announced they will be putting out their fourth full length album, Rapture, on September 13th via Sumerian Records. With this announcement came the first single off of the record, Parasite, and a slew of tour dates.

From the get-go, Parasite is very breakdown-heavy, with a bit of synth thrown into the background to provide a bit more atmosphere. The harsh vocals move between death growls and an eerie story-telling voice, with clean chorus vocals that aren’t as shiny and bright as they are on, say, the band’s cover of Let It Go. Meanwhile, the music video tells one hell of a strange story, with the band performing as their vocalist flees from a tree monster.

Check out the video for Parasite below:

In support of Rapture, Betraying the Martyrs will be touring throughout the summer starting tomorrow, with technical death metal up-and-comers Entheos, Slovenian deathcore moshers Within Destruction, prog metallers Sentinels, and Thailand-based alt metal band Defying Decay.
