Bowling For Soup Reinvent Girl All The Bad Guys Want For 2019 With References To UFC, Neck Tatts And Tinder
Back in 2002, Bowling For Soup rocketed to fame with Girl All The Bad Guys Want, the pop-punk song about an alternative girl who likes rap metal, Godsmack and “singers who are mad at their dad.” Unfortunately, some of the references within the lyrics are dated for a 2019 audience – who knows what a two-way is any more? So frontman Jaret Reddick and new member Rob Felicetti decided to reinvent the song for a new generation.
Joining BBC Radio 1 at Reading festival, the Bowling For Soup duo turned their 17-year-old track into a modern-day anthem with fresh references to swiping right on Tinder, Yungblud, Lil Uzi, Stranger Things, Post Malone and New Era snapbacks. And, to be fair, it’s a lot of fun.
