British Lion Announce New Album, The Burning

Steve Harris' awesome side-project British Lion have announced details of their second album.

The record goes by the name The Burning, and will drop on January 17, 2020. To coincide with the news, the band – completed by vocalist Richard Taylor, guitarists David Hawkins and Grahame Leslie, and drummer Simon Dawson – have unveiled two new songs with album pre-orders, Lightning and Spit Fire (the former song you can also hear below).

“We’ve been working on The Burning for the past couple of years and everyone is really pleased with the results," says Richard. "We started playing some of the songs live on recent tours and got a fantastic reaction from our fans so we are really excited to be sharing this album with the world. We’re also looking forward to heading out on the road again and seeing everyone at the shows.”

British Lion are hitting the road later in the year with Voodoo Six and Nine Miles Down – catch them live at the following:

December

15 Norwich Waterfront
16 Manchester Club Academy
17 Chester Live Music Rooms
18 Nottingham Rescue Rooms
19 Colchester Arts Centre
20 London O2 Academy Islington

“I’m in the UK in December and thought it would be great to take British Lion out on the road for a few shows while I’m here," Steve enthuses. "We haven’t played any in England since 2017 and as most people know, I love getting out and playing live whenever I can, so this seemed a good opportunity to fit some dates in. The set list will be a mixture of songs from the first British Lion album and new songs from our upcoming second album The Burning."
