You don't see many TV ads for rock records these days, do you? Well that wasn't the case at the turn of the century when blink-182 were promoting their fourth album Take Off Your Pants And Jacket.

In the 30-second commercial, we see Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and a silent Travis Barker acting their hearts out, trying to sell their new record as a miracle cure for a painful stomach.

Tom DeLonge, playing the role of Supposed Expert In Suit With A Pointer, tells us that blink-182 now comes with "50 per cent better songs" before revealing it's a suppository that has to be taken 14 times daily.

Mark, as a refreshed doctor without tummy problems, then dons his rubber glove in homage to their Enema Of The State album cover before declaring "Thanks blink-182 I feel much better now, fuck yeah!". Travis, meanwhile, looks terrified about what Hoppus is going to do with that glove.

The campaign obviously worked as Take Off Your Pants And Jacket went on to sell over 14 million copies worldwide, going double-platinum in both the United States and Canada.

Tom departed blink-182 in 2015, but recently revealed to Kerrang! that it's something he's planning on doing again in the future.

Earlier this month, blink released new single Blame It On My Youth, their first new music in two years.
