Corey Taylor Gets Double Knee Surgery, Issues Video Update

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has issued a video update on his recent double knee surgery.

Update – May 13:

Corey has shared a pretty gnarly photo of his surgery, but thankfully seems to be pretty upbeat about how it all went, writing on Instagram: Surgery was swell, but here’s to hoping the swelling goes down. See you motherfuckers this weekend. #youcantkillme #cuzimalready#insideyou

Yes indeed…

Original story – May 12:

Being a rabid, mask-wearing psycho performing to hundreds of thousands is hell on your joints. No one knows that better than Slipknot, whose members have gone so far as to break both their feet and catch on fire onstage in the name of your entertainment. Which is why it’s a little worrisome that this weekend, frontman Corey Taylor underwent double knee surgery — but reassuring to see he’s okay via a video he just posted on his Instagram.

Corey underwent surgery this past Friday, May 10th. But only yesterday, he put the following video on his Instagram, announcing that he was doing fine and that he would be all healed up in time for the band’s upcoming performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this coming Friday.

Everyone at Kerrang! wishes Corey Taylor a quick and full recovery. Good luck, dude.
