After his hugely successful guitar auction for COVID relief earlier in the year, Corey Taylor has just announced another charity initiative.

The Slipknot frontman has listed 10 guitars and one grand piano via ebay.com/coreytaylor, with all proceeds from these very special instruments going to the ACLU (the American Civil Liberties Union, who work in courts and communities to “defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States”).

This unique collection consists of two used and signed acoustic guitars (both of which are in “excellent condition”, eight electrics, and a Black Yamaha Upright piano which is in “good condition” and also includes the stool.

The auction ends September 3.

Corey Taylor's debut solo album CMFT is due out in October.

The musician recently told Kerrang! that he had enough for even more material in the future, too, excitedly revealing, “My future’s not set anymore. I do know that I’ve got material for two other albums. I’ve been sitting on a lot of stuff for a long, long time, so I’m definitely prepared for it, and I’ve already got it mapped out how I will do it.”

He continued of how he sees the next few years panning out: “Once everything starts to fire back up – knock on wood – it’s probably going to be another year of touring with Slipknot, just to cover our bases and make sure we get around the world, and get to the fans. And I’m not going to hold that up, because I know the fans have been waiting for a long time for us to get there.

“The plan is to do a couple of things here and there virtually with [the solo album] before everything kind of fires up with Slipknot, go out and do the next year with Slipknot, and then, after that’s done, I’m taking a break from Slipknot and Stone Sour. I’m gonna do more solo stuff – maybe even go in and record CMFT2. Ostensibly that’s the plan. And then really tour, and then be able to tour on two albums.”

CMFT is out on October 2 via Roadrunner Records – get your copy here.
