Kerry King, Creeper and more added to Download Festival 2024
Eight new bands and artists have been added to this year’s Download line-up, including Kerry King, Creeper, Bayside and Bambie Thug.
Scary skeleton man, coming atcha.
Southampton horror punks Creeper have released a video for their new track Black Mass.
It’s the first single from the sextet’s The Stranger EP, out February 19, and you can watch it below.
Speaking of the video, frontman Will Gould explains: “The concept behind the video is a dream that our EP’s cover character named Madeline is experiencing. She’s in the middle of an episode of sleep psychosis with the band performing to her in her dream. She awakes to find herself in her bedroom.”
“The song’s lyrics are written from the perspective of the character of The Stranger, the heartbroken monster who is the EP’s namesake,” he continues. “They’re partly inspired by recounts of sleep paralysis, where sufferers describe seeing a ‘black matter’ or ‘black mass’ haunting them in their rooms at night, while they lie paralysed in bed.”
