Daron Malakian Covers System Of A Down In Scars On Broadway Acoustic Set
Last week Daron Malakian’s Scars On Broadway played an acoustic show at LA’s GRAMMY Museum – and they covered System Of A Down’s Lonely Day and Lost In Hollywood, as well as unveiling a previously-unreleased song by the name You Destroy You.
Check out fan-shot footage of Daron’s first show with Scars since 2012 below.
We recently caught up with Daron for an extensive chat on all things music, and the guitarist blamed SOAD frontman Serj Tankian for the band’s lack of musical output over the past 13 years. “There is one of us that wants to make an album his way,” he said. “And not everyone is on board with that. That’s been the issue.”
Serj then responded with a rather lengthy statement himself, revealing: “And as we couldn’t see eye to eye on all these points we decided to put aside the idea of a record altogether for the time being.” You can read the full thing here.
