Did Paramore just hint that new music is on the way?

A cryptic tweet suggests that Paramore might be planning to release a new record sooner rather than later…

While Hayley Williams has been in solo mode this year unveiling brilliant debut album Petals For Armor, fans are starting to suspect that she may have been working on new Paramore material behind the scenes with Zac Farro and Taylor York, too.

Earlier this week, the trio took to Twitter to hint that the follow-up to 2017’s After Laughter could very well be in the works, joking that they don’t want their fans woken up just yet”.

Bear with us here, but this actually all started thanks to Taylor Swift releasing a surprise new album last week. Following the release of the record – Evermore – Jimmy Fallon joked on The Tonight Show that the popstar keeps releasing albums (this being her second of 2020). After receiving notifications of more new TaySway LPs with similar names to Evermore and its predecessor Folklore, Jimmy then announces that Paramore have released a new record titled Taylor Swift. Wait, Paramore just released an album called Taylor Swift,” he says. It came full circle.”

Retweeting the video, the band wrote, jimmy, don’t wake the pmore stans just yet”, sending their entire fanbase into a frenzy over those two final words: just yet”. That’s got to mean something is on the way soon, surely?!

Earlier this year, Hayley reiterated the fact that her solo venture did not mean the end for Paramore. I can’t deny there’re frontwomen in history who went solo and didn’t go back, so that’s where I have to trust that the band knows I’m not looking for greener grass,” she said.
