Fall Out Boy return to Hella Mega Tour after positive COVID test last week

While Weezer and The Interrupters did a mighty fine job covering Sugar, We're Going Down in place of Fall Out Boy on the Hella Mega Tour, the band returned to the road last night in Detroit.

The Chicago pop-rock kings missed out on three dates of the huge stadium tour after one of their team tested positive for COVID-19 last week, but were able to hit Comerica Park alongside The Interrupters, Weezer and headliners Green Day on August 10. Fingers crossed the rest of the tour carries on as planned from here on out.

According to Billboard, bassist Pete Wentz told the crowd that, "This week has been a bit of a clusterfuck for our band," but he added that Fall Out Boy "appreciated you guys being here with us – maybe us being here with you".

And they opted for the same setlist as their initial performances at the start of the tour, playing a ton of career-spanning favourites – from early hits like Grand Theft Autumn / Where Is Your Boy and Saturday through to modern-day bangers like The Last Of The Real Ones, Uma Thurman and Centuries.
