As Fall Out Boy busy themselves in gearing up to release another greatest hits album – Believers Never Die: Volume Two – bassist Pete Wentz has also just unveiled a brand-new project: his own jewellery line, Ronin.

In a new interview with WWD, Pete explains of the current range (which consists of rings and pendants, as well as apparel): “Making tangible pieces is counterintuitive because we live in an age where people are into AR and VR and people want to be in a room that doesn’t really exist, but feel like they’re touching things that also don’t exist. It’s cool to have tangible things because they can go on the journey with you and they have a story and they become a talisman in that way.”

The brand Ronin itself, meanwhile, describes itself as: "Born out of the idea of wandering, a samurai without a master, and the free dreams that accompany facing the world on your own, Ronin is a jewelry line built for modern times. Founded in 2019 by Pete Wentz, the line focuses on simple, quality unisex pieces that externally project one’s inward creativity and individuality. In a world fueled by stories that are set to disappear after 24 hours, Ronin offers pieces that are tangible and stay with you to become part of your permanent story – touchstones that will eventually have a story of their own. Inspiration for the collection was drawn from vintage jewelry and various metals to create purposeful designs with the intention of becoming something more rather than less as they pass through the world. Ronin is counterprogramming, providing depth for the void no matter what course you choose to set."
