Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody Is A Grandpa

In a recent interview, Ivan Moody talked about being a grandfather at 40.

Heavy metal heavyweight and Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody has always shared how important his relationship with his two daughters is to him. Now, he has more news to share: Ivan is now a grandfather.

Ivan’s eldest daughter, who was born in 1998, had a baby. In an interview with 101 WRIF, Ivan talked about becoming a grandfather at 40

It’s fantastic, man,” he said. I call it legend versus legacy, my man, and it’s really what you leave behind. And to know that, you know, my kids are coming to an age when they’re having their own kids.”

This is the weirdest part: my youngest is seven years old, so she’s an aunt,” he added. I’m just, like, How does this even fucking happen?’ You know what I mean? It’s cool, brother. I really dig it, but at the same time, not still willing to accept the grandpa’ term yet.”

Ivan has even brought his older daughter on stage before:

And here’s a sweet video of Ivan bringing his younger daughter, Nova, onstage:

Ivan has been open about the changes he’s been through in his life, including working to distance himself from some of the darker events in his past, such as the domestic violence charges brought against him in 2015. He’s also overcoming his issues with addiction, something which Ivan still faces but seems to be conquering in stride.
