After recently announcing a vaccine-only headline gig at Madison Square Garden for the legendary New York venue's reopening (and seemingly upsetting anti-vaxxers in the process), Foo Fighters have now announced another show for vaccinated fans.

The rock legends will be playing Los Angeles' intimate Canyon Club this Tuesday, June 15, in front of 610 lucky gig-goers (it has already sold out, obviously). Those who managed to secure tickets will have to prove that they've been vaccinated: they'll need to have had their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the show, ora single dose of the Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine in the same timeframe.

Quiz: How much do you know about Dave Grohl?

Of course, Dave Grohl in particular will probably be extremely excited about this gig following his emotional op-ed on the power of live music last year.

"In today’s world of fear and unease and social distancing, it’s hard to imagine sharing experiences like these ever again," he wrote. "But I do know that we will do it again, because we have to. It’s not a choice. We’re human. We need moments that reassure us that we are not alone. That we are understood. That we are imperfect. And, most important, that we need each other.

"I have shared my music, my words, my life with the people who come to our shows. And they have shared their voices with me. Without that audience – that screaming, sweating audience – my songs would only be sound. But together, we are instruments in a sonic cathedral, one that we build together night after night. And one that we will surely build again.”
