Last weekend, Glastonbury returned to Worthy Farm after a fallow year with a lineup that boasted some of rock and metal's hottest acts. From Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL to Venom Prison and IDLES, a bunch of Kerrang!'s favourites tore through Glasto 2019, soaking up the sun and giving the unwashed masses an unhealthy dose of heavy.

Next year will be Glastonbury's 50th birthday, and everyone is expecting the Eavis family to pull something big out of the bag to celebrate. We've already discussed the rock and metal bands we want to see at Glasto in 2020, but the rumours are already starting to circulate about who could be closing the Pyramid Stage next summer.

And, to be honest, there's not a lot of rock or metal... But if Led Zeppelin do turn up you'll be able to hear our screams of joy from the moon.

There's no knowing for sure until the announcements are officially made next year, but speaking to NME in 2017, Emily Eavis said they'd already booked two of 2020's headliners.

“Ideally, we’d have a mix of old and new acts headlining," said Emily. "But, a lot can happen between now and then, and it’s about seeing who comes through and who would be right for us.

"It’s always good having something in the long term plans as well.”
