Lawyer Ben Challis says "the plan would be to rebook the 2020 bill" for next year's Glastonbury.
As the Glastonbury team continue to plot the future of the festival in 2021, lawyer Ben Challis insists that it will be going ahead next year – with plans to start constructing everything in March.
Speaking on the Behind The Noise Podcast, Ben says that the 50th anniversary edition of the iconic UK festival will still be happening at Worthy Farm in 2021, following the cancellation of this year's fest.
"For 2021 we will have to start building in March, or the end of March because it's a big festival and it takes a lot to build, and no-one wants to do a 'light Glastonbury'," he explains, adding of the potential line-up: "The plan would be to rebook the 2020 bill, it will move everything, including our 50th anniversary celebration to 2021."

The lawyer – who has represented Glasto for the past 26 years – also adds in very positive news that hardly anyone wanted their money back after the 2020 event was cancelled. "It was literally a handful, it was extraordinary," he says. "No-one wanted a refund."
Last week, organiser Michael Eavis suggested there could be "massive coronavirus testing arrangements" at Glastonbury in 2021.
"Do we want to test 200,000 people three times – when they leave their home, when they’re halfway here, and when they get to the [festival] gate – so that we’re clear of COVID?" he considered.
