Iron Maiden Send Message To Fans Following More Gig Postponements
Following the postponement of their German shows in June, Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood has sent a message to fans regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood has sent his well wishes to fans and called for their help to bring the coronavirus pandemic to an end following the postponement of more tour dates.
The band were scheduled to play four shows in Germany this June, but have been forced to postpone them in line with the country's government extending their ban on large gatherings to August. Wizard Promotions – Maiden's German promoter – have, however, confirmed that they are looking to reschedule this tour in "the early summer of 2021".
Taking to Twitter following this news, Rod wrote:
"Just a quick note to say that I hope you’re all safe with your families and following the advice of your Governments and their scientific and medical advisors in these very difficult and tragic times over much of our planet.

"We all need to help bring an end to this Pandemic by following the advice and helping one another when we can, especially the more vulnerable. We want to see you all healthy and well when we make it to your country. And we want to see you as much as you want to see us!
"As we get any new information about the planned shows we will continue to post it here. This is of course a very difficult situation and no-one can truly predict what will happen but we will continue to keep our options open while we see what develops and, l hope, make sensible decisions. And we will keep you the fans informed at the appropriate times. So please bear with us. So for now, take care of yourselves and be smart."
Of course, Iron Maiden were also due to headline this year's Download Festival in the summer, but the huge metal weekender was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In light of this rubbish news, Download recently announced a virtual festival to be enjoyed safely while we're all under lockdown and stuck at home. Promising “unseen performances, special interviews, exclusive footage and interactive content”, the online event will be taking place during Download 2020's original planned dates: June 12-14.
