It looks like Green Day POP! vinyl might finally be on the way

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool should finally be getting their own figures in Funko’s next POP! Rocks wave of releases.

Brace yourselves, Green Day fans: it looks like Funko are finally going to be releasing POP! vinyl figures of the punk rock kings.

While the band’s peers in the likes of Fall Out Boy and blink-182 have already been turned into plastic as part of the company’s POP! Rocks line, it’s been shared by Funko POP! News that Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool will soon get their turn, too.

It hasn’t been revealed when this new wave of POP! Rocks figures are coming, or even what era of Green Day will be immortalised in vinyl… but we are already very, very excited.

Could Funko go for a throwback style with three mud-splattered figures from the trio’s iconic 1994 set at Woodstock? Will they go for 2004’s black-and-red American Idiot look, complete with lots of eyeliner? Or maybe they’ll go for the modern-day Father Of All… vibe. (Or they could make a whole load of different eras and we’ll buy the lot… just saying.)

Watch this space.
