It Looks Like Tool's New Album Isn't Coming Out In April After All

Just when you thought the new Tool album saga was reaching its conclusion, frontman Maynard James Keenan has denied the rumours that it's coming in a matter of months.

Late last month, Tool drummer Danny Carey said in a video that the new album is coming in April, but now vocalist Maynard has shot down that claim on Twitter.

Twitter user @jasonlucas724 asked if there was any truth to "the new album dropping in April" and Maynard simply replied "No."

But what else would we expect? Even if the album is coming in April it feels like Tool are just toying with us at this point, knowing that millions of fans around the world are sat waiting with open ears to hear the band's first new music in 13 years.

Maynard revealed recently that he has finished his vocals and it's just the mixing process to go, but who knows how long that could take.

Logic would dictate that the new record would arrive ahead of the band's summer shows, including a headline set on the Sunday of Download festival in the UK. Get your Download tickets now.
