K!1706: Knocked Loose And The Hottest Bands Of 2018

Featuring Turnstile, Palaye Royale, Conjurer, Dream State, Greta Van Fleet, Stand Atlantic, Boston Manor, DEAD!, Sleep On It and more!

New year, new you, new music overload! Allow us to introduce the 10 bands set to soundtrack your next 12 months – and beyond…

If 2017 was the year hardcore rubbed shoulders with the mainstream, 2018 will be the year it kicks its arse. We headed to Australia’s UNIFY Gathering to hang with Knocked Loose, the scene’s next breakout stars…

After that, we meet unique art-rockers Palaye Royale, Blackpool Brit rockers Boston Manor, Midlands metallers Conjurer, South Wales’ bright new hope Dream State, swag-rockers Greta Van Fleet, rising pop-punks in Stand Atlantic and Sleep On It, punk rockers DEAD! and hardcore experimentalists Turnstile. Elsewhere, we go back to the ’80s and explore the loudest, fastest genre ever birthed, thrash metal.

There’s also a massive interview with one of the bands announced to play this year’s Download Festival, while Parkway Drive celebrate 10 years of their Horizons album by playing it in full – and it’s proper good. Then we find out if Fall Out Boy have lost their minds, or actually made a really good album… and the same with Machine Head, actually.

Finally, we bring you a massive BABYMETAL poster special for you stick on your wall. You’re welcome.

All this and more is packed into the new issue that hit shops on Wednesday, January 24. Oh, and can you also order it anywhere in the world online through Newsstand
