Listen To Mike Shinoda’s Brand-New Single, Fine

Mike Shinoda has unveiled a brand-new single, Fine, for the movie The Blackout.

New music from Mike Shinoda has arrived! The musician has unveiled a single as part of upcoming movie The Blackout (and no – it’s not about the much-missed Welsh band of the same name… unfortunately).

The new single goes by the name Fine, with Mike writing on Twitter alongside the release of the song: Tell all the children to lock those doors / I’ve seen the smoke in the sky before / Gotta be up on my feet / When the morning comes / Cause this fight you can’t ignore / Everything is gonna be fine.’

Fine follows Mike’s excellent debut solo album Post Traumatic, which was released last year.

In October, Linkin Parks incredible debut album Hybrid Theory celebrated its 19th anniversary.

We started seeing a following develop when we started doing street team work on the internet,” said Mike at the time of the band’s ascent. We’ve always been interested in putting our songs out there for people worldwide. Once we had them available, we’d go into chat rooms and have conversations with people. Eventually, they’d ask about the band and we’d let them know where the music was at. I would sit and talk to five people at a time and one by one they’d all go and check out the site, coming back and saying that they liked what they heard.”

I think it’s an important key,” added the late Chester Bennington. But first and foremost writing good music is the thing. It doesn’t matter how good your team is, or how much money you have behind you or how cool your video looks – if the songs aren’t there and the band can’t pull it off live, then nothing will come from it.”
