Listen To Slipknot’s New Song, Birth Of The Cruel

Slipknot have released a brand-new song, Birth Of The Cruel.

Ahead of the release of new album We Are Not Your Kind this Friday, Slipknot have unveiled another brand-new song.

The track – which goes by the name Birth Of The Cruel – follows singles Unsainted and Solway Firth, and comes accompanied by a brilliant visualiser video featuring the Knot’s ace new white boilersuits.

These days the art we are making comes with the highest reward, because it’s taken the most time,” says Clown of the record. Almost four years to create this emotion and temperature, and the reward now is nothing short of salvation.”

This is the most time we’ve had to write a record, and work stuff out together,” adds guitarist Jim Root. One of my inspirations this time around was those artists that recorded full-length albums – not just songs. While the industry is moving toward singles, Slipknot wanted to make an album experience, front to back.”

Slipknot recently confirmed a 2020 European tour, revealing the cities they’d be hitting along with a ticket collaboration for We Are Not Your Kind: if you pre-order the LP before 11:30pm UK time on August 8, you’ll get an exclusive pre-sale code granting early access to tickets.
